Sydney Berne

Canadian Artist, Sydney Berne (1921-2013)

Sydney Berne was born in Toronto and attended the Central Technical School of Art, beginning his career in the commercial arts field. After serving overseas with the army, Berne returned to Canada and settled in Montreal as a professional artist.

Sydney Berne went on to become an award-winning artist, exhibiting at the National Gallery in London. He had many successful solo shows between the 1962 and 1978 and sold through the prestigious Dominion Gallery in Montreal.
